Job Overview:

The Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre (PMBRC) was established in 2008, consolidating existing research in WIT in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and biomedical sciences into one research centre. The PMBRC is one of 16 centres of excellence funded by the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Programme. The PMBRC has established strong links with companies across Ireland, particularly in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and completes over 50 projects with industry partners every year. In addition, the centre is involved in a number of national and international initiatives with academic partners. The PMBRC was named Pharma Research Centre of the Year at the 2020 Pharma Industry Awards, having previously won the Research and Development Achievement awards in 2019 and 2017.

The PMBRC offers a range of contract analytical and contract research services to Irish industry. The volume of work now requires an additional resource to conduct and manage this important aspect of the PMBRC’s function.
