New Job Vacancies in the PMBRC

The Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre (PMBRC) was established in 2008, consolidating existing research in WIT in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and biomedical sciences into one research centre. The PMBRC is one of 15 centres of excellence funded by the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway programme. The PMBRC has established strong links with the national pharmaceutical and healthcare sector and has secured funding of over €3m for industrial projects since 2008. In addition the centre is involved in a number of national and international initiatives with academic partners. The PMBRC won the Research and Development Achievement award at the 2017 Pharma Industry Awards. 

Due to an increase in industry projects, a number of new positions have become available in the Centre:

Technology Leader Formulation/Preformulation: Reporting to the PMBRC Manager, the recruited person will be responsible for the development of the PMBRC capabilities and the provision of solutions to industry partners in the technology area. For further details on this position and how to apply please click here.

Contract Analysis and Research Scientist:  Reporting to the PMBRC Manager, the recruited researcher will be responsible for carrying out contract analysis and contract research projects for industry clients. For further details on this position and how to apply please click here.

Molecular Biology/Biochemistry Researcher: The PMBRC has had recent successes in the area of biocatalysis including publications, patent applications and a technology licence deal to a global pharmaceutical company. Funded by the Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation Fund, this project involves the testing of a novel biocatalytic system for use in the (bio)pharmaceutical sector. Contract Analysis and Research Scientist

Reporting to the PMBRC Manager, the recruited researcher will be responsible for carrying out contract analysis and contract research projects for industry clients.
