Directions
The PMBRC is situated in the Engineering and Science building on the main Waterford Institute of Technology (Cork Road) Campus. See attached map of the campus. During the academic term (start of September to end of May) it is advisable to book a parking space behind the Tourism and Leisure building through your PMBRC contact.
The following are directions to WIT coming on the N25 Cork-Waterford Road:
- On the N25 Waterford bypass, take the first exit signposted Waterford South / Tramore etc. This is before the toll bridge.
- Go through a number of roundabouts until you reach the Butlerstown roundabout just after B&Q
- Turn left at the Butlerstown roundabout - this is called the Cork Road.
- Drive on about a mile or so, going through 2 sets of traffic lights (one of which is for pedestrians).
- The 3rd set of traffic lights is at the junction with Paddy Brown's road (see map).
The following are directions to WIT coming on the Dublin or N24 roads:
- Coming into Waterford follow the signs into the city centre
- Cross over the bridge (Rice bridge not the new bridge) in the left hand lane
- Turn left after you cross the bridge and drive down the quays - get into the right hand lane before you come to the Tower Hotel
- Drive out this road (Cork road) for ~ 2 miles. WIT is on the right hand side just after the old Waterford crystal site.
